Jazz giant Peter Appleyard was on hand in the Civic Square Saturday night to emcee the first of a series of free outdoor summer concerts. Here, he gets an appreciative hug from singer Ranee Lee, who performed along with guitarist Richard Ring and trumpet player Guido Basso.
